17 points after 19 games, last place in the table: The first half of the season for FC Südtirol was a disaster. The White-Reds are in a deep crisis. Will everything get better in the second half of the season? On Sunday from 15 p.m. (SportNews-Liveticker) is the first match of the second half of the season, with FCS visiting Modena, which is within striking distance of the playoff places.
FC Südtirol, which has already lost 12 games this season, desperately needs points. Although an upward trend is evident under coach Fabrizio Castori, the 1:2 defeat against Cittadella after leading 1:0 was a severe blow. FCS must now recover from this as quickly as possible.
Andrea Masiello is still missing due to injury.
Castori's team will also have some notable absences against Modena. Andrea Masiello and Jasmin Kurtic are still out with muscle injuries and will not be available again until the new year. Captain Fabian Tait will not return until March at the earliest. At least defender Andrea Giorgini will be able to play again against Modena after serving a yellow card suspension.
After the match on Sunday, FCS will have a two-week break, after which they will continue with the home game against Catanzaro on January 12th.
