a Serie B

FC Südtirol welcomes Mantova on Saturday.

Before Castori's debut: "We will play a good game"

As part of the 17th matchday in Serie B, FC Südtirol will host Mantova on Saturday and Fabrizio Castori will make his debut on the FCS sidelines. The White-Reds are doomed to win.

On Saturday, Fabrizio Castori's adventure at FC Südtirol finally begins. After five defeats in a row, seven in the last eight games, the team needs to get back on the winning track as quickly as possible. "I found an attentive and motivated team. You can feel that everyone wants to put the past results behind them. I am convinced that we will play a good game tomorrow," says the new coach of FC Südtirol.

For the White-Reds, it is the ninth home game in this year's championship. FC Südtirol has been waiting for a win at home since August 24th (3:2 against Salernitana). "We are extremely motivated to finally win again and we expect a lot of support from the fans. It is our job to offer them good performances," the coach says.

Daniele Casiraghi and FC Südtirol urgently need points.

Mantova currently has 18 points. "As is the case every weekend, a difficult game awaits us. Mantova is a newly promoted team, but has managed to keep the core of the team and the coach. They are doing well and approach every game with a lot of enthusiasm. However, we need points and will do everything we can to achieve that," said the 70-year-old.
“There are no hierarchies and everyone will get their chance.” Fabrizio Castori, coach FC Südtirol

For his debut on the sidelines of the FCS, the coach will have to do without some important pillars. "Tait and Masiello are definitely not available. But I don't want to complain about the absences: they are an opportunity for others to prove themselves. Since I arrived, I have analyzed the entire squad and have great confidence in my players. There are no hierarchies and everyone will get their chance," explains Castori.
