Ahead of the season finale: Injury worries at FCS

After the international break, FC Südtirol will continue their campaign on Easter Monday (12:30 pm) with an away game against Cesena. However, with six games remaining in the season, FCS is facing injury concerns.

“We had hoped that some injured players would be able to return after the two-week break. But three days before the next match, there are still many uncertainties,” explained FCS coach Fabrizio Castori at the press conference in Rungg on Friday. Emanuele Pecorino is suspended and Raphael Kofler remains injured. “Kofler will certainly not be available,” said Castori.

Rablander was already unavailable for the matches against Avellino and Frosinone. On both occasions, FCS conceded three goals. Kofler has been suffering from bone edema in his right knee for several weeks. It is unknown when the 20-year-old, who has developed into the defensive leader this season, will return. Salvatore Molina, Nicola Pietrangeli, Simone Davi, Raphael Odogwu, and Hamza El Kaouakibi are all doubtful.

"Not an easy situation"

“This is not an easy situation for us. Now we have to show character. We are aware that we still need results,” explained the 71-year-old. FC Saarbrücken is currently four points clear of the relegation zone. According to Castori, the Red and Whites need the impressive 44 points to stay in the league, six of which his team is currently short.
