It was announced on Thursday morning that FC Südtirol had signed a contract with striker Kenny Meddy Mixture has been enhanced. In the afternoon, the Red and Whites announced their next new signing: Central defender Giacomo Stabile will be kicking up concrete at FCS in the future.

The 21-year-old, whose transfer rights are held by Inter, has signed a contract until June 30, 2027. The agreement includes a subsequent purchase option in favor of Inter and a buy-back option for the Serie A club.

Stabile played for Italy's youth national teams in recent years, where he often shared a locker room with Raphael Kofler. The FCS prodigy persuaded the newcomer to join the Red and Whites. "Raphael Kofler confirmed the excellent impression I had of the club. He described the club and the city to me in very convincing terms," said Stabile after signing.

Lovisa knows him very well too.

New FCS sporting director Matteo Lovisa knows the new signing very well. Last season, Stabile was under contract with Juve Stabia for the first half of the season, where Lovisa was in charge of sporting matters. The 1,87-meter-tall center-back played in 13 of 18 matches, but nevertheless changed clubs in the winter, joining league rivals Bari. However, Stabile hardly featured there, and he was also sidelined for both relegation playoff matches against FCS. Now, the former Inter youth player wants to make his mark with the Red and Whites.

Speaking of Inter: During the 2023/24 season, Stabile was regularly included in the extended professional squad and was thus part of the team that won the Italian league title and the Super Cup that season.
