"What do you expect from a new jersey?" was the question in the video in which FC Südtirol offered a first look at its home kit for the 2025/26 season on Friday afternoon. This was followed by several comments that football fans from all over the world have probably regularly uttered in recent years: Too abstract, the design resembles something from a video game, or the jersey simply doesn't convey anything at all. A development that FCS has noticed – and which should be incorporated into the design of the new kit.
"Clean, strong, and true to ourselves," the second-division club announced in its social media message. "A new design, reduced and stylish, that dispenses with superfluous elements to focus attention on the essentials - what distinguishes us as a club," the official club statement continued. What does this look like in terms of color? Quite simple: "As tradition demands and as a sign of our connection to our own history, the color white dominates FC Südtirol's home jersey again this season," it reads. "The major innovation - striking and meaningful - can be seen in the sleeves: entirely in red, interspersed with a vibrant pattern in various shades." The sleeves are rounded off with a white stripe.
