Trento misses out on the crowning achievement of the season

AC Trento had a phenomenal season in Serie C this year. However, they suffered an early exit from the playoffs on Sunday evening.

In the first round of the promotion playoffs, Trento lost 1-2 at home to Giana Erminio at the Briamasco Stadium. Luca Tabbiani's team finished the regular season in fifth place in Group A of Serie C. Former FCS player Christian Capone scored eleven goals during that period.

Lecco, with former FCS coach Federico Valente, and Casertana, with Jonas Heinz from Naturns, are among the teams entering the second round of the Serie C playoffs. Ravenna (with Manuel Fischnaller), Union Brescia, and Salernitana will join at a later date.
