Benedikt Rottensteiner is moving to Sicily

Benedikt Rottensteiner leaves FC Südtirol and joins Trapani in Serie D with immediate effect.

The two clubs have agreed on a temporary transfer – until June 30, 2027 – of the playing rights of the 21-year-old defender. Rottensteiner was born on July 29, 2005 in Bolzano and received his footballing education at FC Südtirol, whose youth academy he joined in 2017.

In April 2024, the defender signed his first professional contract with the Red and Whites. After two seasons as a key player in the Primavera 2 team, he gained valuable experience in professional football last season on loan at Bra in Serie C. Now he's made the move to the relegated Sicilian club.
