The Obermais timetable until the start of the season

The new season begins for FC Obermais in about a week. While the management has been working behind the scenes for weeks to create the best conditions for Serie D, the team will begin training in a few days.

On Tuesday, July 22nd, at 19 p.m., FC Obermais will begin its debut season in Serie D. Coach Flavio Toccoli will then hold his first training session of the season. It's rare for a club in the fourth-tier Serie D to train this late. However, an earlier training time isn't possible at FCO, as most players are and will remain full-time employees.

Coach Toccoli then asks his players to train four times a week. This has changed at FCO compared to the Oberliga, where training sessions were "only" held three times.

Test matches and a top-class tournament in Merano

The first friendly match of the preseason will take place on the Lahn River against Brixen, followed by a four-team tournament at Merano's Combi Stadium (August 2). In addition to Obermais and regional league side Olimpia Meran, the Primavera teams of Sassuolo and FC Südtirol will also be competing. Obermais will also play against the FCS juniors on August 14, following a mini-training camp in Arco the previous weekend.

Renato Sula & Co. will train four times a week in the future.

Before Obermais begins its cup adventure on August 24, the Supercup will be held. There, the Merano team will face Trentino Cup winners Anaune, who are well known from previous Oberliga seasons. The Serie D championship begins on September 7.
