A point gain that doesn't really help Virtus

Virtus Bozen returned from Carlino in the province of Udine with one point. Kaptina & Co. earned a 1-1 draw against Cjarlins Muzane. However, a win would have been necessary against the team, which was also in danger of relegation, if they had wanted to maintain any hope of staying in the league.

Virtus started the game aggressively on the pitch, which was softened by the rain. In the second minute, Osorio escaped Cuomo, who only managed to get a yellow foul. Five minutes later, Bussi passed to Elis Kaptina, whose diagonal shot sailed just past the Cjarlins goal. The home team had their first significant opportunity to score after around 25 minutes. After a corner, Maletic rose highest, but his header flew wide of the Virtus goal. In the 31st minute, Osorio initiated a counterattack and played the ball to Centazzo. He laid the ball on for Elis Kaptina, who was running along, but he missed the right moment to finish. Until half time, Nchama tried a long-range shot and Maletic tried a free kick. However, both shots missed their target.

Virtus also started the second half with a lot of momentum. Osorio shook off his opponent, but his shot was blocked by the home team's goalkeeper (47'). Just a minute later, the Cjarlins goalkeeper was once again the center of attention when he blocked a shot from Elis Kaptina into the goal. Bonucci was able to move the resulting corner from Bussi out of the danger zone at short notice, but he was also powerless when Bounou shot directly from the edge of the penalty area. The home team's reaction came in the 54th minute: a shot from Castagnaviz sailed over the Virtus goal.

Compensation from the point

As the game continued, the rain increased and the wind became stronger. The home team's best opportunity to equalize came in the 68th minute. After a pass from Fyda, Lucatti got to the ball. But his shot got stuck in a puddle of water just in front of the goal line and Morello was still able to reach the ball. After just over 30 minutes in the second half, the hosts equalized. After a duel between Tschigg and Nchama - both went down - the referee pointed to the spot. Lucatti took responsibility and slammed the ball into the middle of the goal. After that, neither team was able to threaten the opponent's goal anymore. The increasingly heavy rain and wind were also partly to blame.
