Former Obermais player now plays in Albania

In the summer, Marlind Bahaj moved from FC Südtirol's Primavera team to FC Obermais. After only half a year, the defender left the Serie D club again to pursue his dream of becoming a professional footballer in Albania.

Marlind Bahaj didn't play a major role for FC Obermais in the fall. The full-back made four appearances, including two in the cup competition. In the winter, the 19-year-old left the Serie D club from Merano and moved to Albania. Because his parents have Balkan roots, the Trentino native has also played for Albania's youth national teams.

Bahaj is now under contract with FK Bylis. The club from the small town of Ballsh (population 5.000) in the Albanian hinterland plays in the first division and is currently in 8th place. Bahaj has not yet made an appearance for the first team.
