Obermais, a team from the spa town, will travel to Legnago for their 27th matchday of the fourth-tier Italian league. Southeast of Verona, they aim to continue their upward trend. The blue-and-whites are unbeaten in three games, securing two wins and a draw to collect valuable points. Furthermore, they have only lost one of their last seven matches – a clear upward trend is evident in Obermais.
Nevertheless, the Burggräfler team remains in third-to-last place in the standings and is embroiled in a relegation battle. However, the season is still long, and much is still possible. After all, there are still seven league matches to play.
The task in Legnago won't be easy, however – not least because their opponents were still playing in Serie C last season. With 45 goals, the Venetians boast the best attack in the league, which has propelled them to fifth place in the table, and they are firmly in the mix for the top spots. Will FCO pull off another upset, or will their winning streak come to an end? Find out at 2:30 pm on Wednesday.
Quarter-final in the state cup
Meanwhile, the quarter-final matches of the regional cup will also be played on Wednesday. Four teams from the Oberliga (fifth tier), three from the Landesliga (sixth tier), and one team from the 1. Amateurliga (seventh tier) will compete for the four semi-final spots. Particular attention will be paid to the highly anticipated Vinschgau derby between Naturns and Partschins.Serie D, 27th matchday
