Obermais is fighting against the 45-minute virus

FC Obermais has had a decent start to the new season with four points. However, their tally could be higher – but the Merano-based team has a problem: the first 45 minutes.

“We finally need to understand that we have to do our jobs from the very beginning,” emphasized Luca Tenderini after the 0-1 defeat in Conegliano a week ago. “It can’t be that we need the coach’s wake-up call at halftime every time.”

Obermais had previously squandered a point. While they failed to capitalize on excellent chances in the second half, they completely slept through the first 45 minutes. And this wasn't the first time this season. "If we can solve this problem, we're a really strong team," said Tenderini. The Blue-Whites have another opportunity to do so on Sunday (15 p.m.). However, they face a tough opponent in Mestre, who are among the title favorites.

Virtus Bozen has three points in its sights

Virtus Bozen has two more points than Obermais. The reigning Oberliga champions have won both of their home games so far, but lost both of their away matches. They aim to change that on Sunday when they visit Altavilla, who are still without a win.
