After wedding in South Tyrol: Here Manuel Neuer is on holiday

His wedding in Eppan was the talk of the South Tyrolean scene for days. Now, star goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has finally unwinded on a vacation.

It was a dream wedding that took place last weekend in the south of South Tyrol. None other than football superstar Manuel Neuer married his wife Anika in the Überetsch region. The big party took place on Saturday at Freudenstein Castle in Eppan, The day before, the wedding party had already prepared for the ceremony at Gut Kaltenburg in Kaltern.

Manuel Neuer – this has been known for years – has a great weakness for South Tyrol. The former world-class goalkeeper often finds himself in the local mountains and countryside. But the Bayern Munich star also seems to feel at home on the Italian Riviera. After his dream wedding, Neuer enjoyed a vacation on the Amalfi Coast.

Neuer enjoyed the food and the view.

The 39-year-old posted several photos of the holiday paradise on Instagram. Whether on a boat trip, enjoying spaghetti at the Lo Scoglio restaurant, playing tennis, or taking a stroll along the famous coast – Neuer enjoyed his time on the Riviera to the fullest. "Relaxed. Recovered. Ready," he captioned the snapshots.

What's striking is that Neuer is the only one seen in the photos; his wife Anika is nowhere to be seen. However, local media from Amalfi report that the newlyweds were spotted together in a restaurant. Neuer and his wife value their privacy very highly; there are hardly any public photos of the two together.

After this exciting month of July, the soccer star returns to Munich, where he will prepare for the new season with FC Bayern. The first Bundesliga match will take place on August 22nd.
