South Tyrolean martial artist internationally successful

At the International Kaiserwinkel Open in Kössen (North Tyrol) in Taekwondo, in which a total of over 500 athletes from 10 nations participated, the Taekwondo department of ASV Zadra fighting/rothoblaas was able to win several medals.

In total, there was one gold, three silver and five bronze medals.

In the men's black belt division, Tobias Santer won the bronze medal in the -68 kg weight class. Gabriel Marcomin also won bronze in the men's black belt division, -87 kg.

Jenny Schwertner also secured a third-place finish in the women's -51 kg category. Thomas Mittermair narrowly missed a medal after a fantastic fight in which he held the lead for a considerable time, and at 17 years old, this was his first time competing in the adult category. Also finishing fifth were 17-year-old Anna Datz in the women's -70 kg category and Gabriele Cera in the men's -74 kg category.

Several medals were also won by the Kurtatsch judoka in the colored belt categories. Danijl Haiduk Danyil secured gold in the under-50 kg category. Silver medals went to Gabriele Andreatta in the men's under-54 kg category, Benjamin Trojer in the under-18 over-65 kg category, and Jasin Previzi in the under-14 under-53 kg category. Bronze medals were awarded to Anton Ventier in the under-18 under-59 kg category and Markus Lemayr in the men's under-74 kg category.
