Taekwondo Brixen delivers a strong performance at the Golden Roof

On January 31, 2026, the international Taekwondo event Golden Roof 2026 was held in the Hötting West sports hall in Innsbruck.

The prestigious tournament brought together 51 teams from several nations and featured a total of 484 athletes in the sparring disciplines, as well as 110 participants in the Poomsae competition, the traditional forms competition. In its fifth edition, the Golden Roof once again confirmed its high international standing. Athletes from France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Morocco, the Czech Republic, and Austria ensured a consistently high level of technical skill and intense, challenging matches.

ASV Taekwondo Brixen was represented by a sizable delegation, both in terms of numbers and athletic ability, with 24 athletes competing against top-class international competition. The team from South Tyrol achieved an outstanding 9th place overall – a result of particular sporting significance, especially since it was the first official competition for many club members.

The medal tally also underscores the team's solid competitive performance: Gold medals went to Sohail Khadir, Mia Scrocca Moos von Seiller, and Sofia Valentini. Silver medals were won by Viktoria Fusco, Daniel Di Vetta, Katharina Scalise, and Tamara Mayr. Bronze medals were secured by Mattia Ferigo, Ana Culcsar, Daniel Tauber, and Sebastian Leitner. A significant sporting milestone for Taekwondo Brixen was their first-ever participation in an official competition in the Poomsae (forms) discipline. Three athletes made their debut and gained valuable competitive experience for their future athletic development. Golden Roof 2026 thus concluded extremely successfully for ASV Taekwondo Brixen, confirming the club's consistent, structured, and high-quality training program, which looks forward to future sporting challenges with confidence.
