15th title in a row: These bowlers are unbeatable

In recent years it has always been the top duel in the A1 class. When Neumarkt and Fugger Sterzing faced each other on the track, bowling at its best was guaranteed. That was also the case in the decisive duel last Friday. A win with 4 game days to go was enough for KK Neumarkt to secure the championship title. And the Unterlandlers also delivered. In the Fugger Bliegerstadion, Neumarkt, led by the exceptional players Tamás Kiss, Vilmos Zavarko, Armin Egger and Erik Kuna, won with an unequivocal 7:1 and an impressive total score of 3702 pins. This is also a new team track record in the Bliegerstadion.

Kiss got off to a strong start in the first duel against Stefan Zini. The Italo-Hungarian took 3 set points and won with 635:556. Kuna also won his duel against Manuel Hofer, but not so clearly. Hofer came up with a strong 620 pins and got 2 set points, just as many as Kuna, who knocked down 629 pins and therefore won the point. In the third duel, Franz Höller scored for the Fugger against Wolfgang Blaas, winning with 585:566. From Neumarkt's perspective, Georg Righi made up for it and beat Florian Hofer with 589:576.

Last but not least, Egon Ralser and Lorenz Höller were on the track for Vipiteno and Vilmos Zavarko and Armin Egger for Neumarkt. The Unterlanders left nothing to be desired: Zavarko won against Ralser with 659:576, Egger beat Höller with 624:587.

While everything has been decided at the top, things get really exciting down below. Things have gotten really tricky for the Wooden 9, who lost the important game against Nals and are now 4 points behind the saving bank.

The craziest title race in years Is it the nerves? Was it just a snapshot? Or is the championship in the women's A class just so even this year? You don't know, but the fact is: there hasn't been such an exciting title race for a long time and it's good for South Tyrolean bowling. At the moment everything is back to normal: with 3 match days to go, the Fugger Vipiteno are well on their way to winning their 8th championship title in a row. But: the Wipptal women must not let up. Vöran Blecherne, Villnöß and also Sarnthein are all still very close.

Villnöß, of all places, had to accept a bitter setback. The team that was at the top of the table two weeks ago lost 2:1 against Tirol Mutspitz on the last match day and is now in third place. The gap to Vipiteno is “only” 5 points, which means everything is still possible. Especially because Villnöß and Sterzing will face each other on the last matchday. Then it could be about nothing less than the title.

In the clash with Tirol Mutspitz, Villnöß played below expectations, as evidenced by the average of only 506 pins. Only Nathale Profanter was able to register for Villnöß, while Dora Rinner, Silvia Gaiser and Nina Oberhofer scored for Tirol Mutspitz. The overall result of 2134:2023 made the final score 5:1.

At the bottom of the table, Pfalzen has now definitely been relegated, but Verdings has to worry. If Überetsch Eppan gets another win, then the Eisacktal team will also play in the B class next season.
