Champions League: Great success for KK Neumarkt

KK Neumarkt caused a huge surprise in the first leg of the first round of the Champions League on Saturday. The South Tyrolean champions forced the heavy favorites ZP Sport Podbrezova (Slovakia) to their knees away 5:3 (3788:3777) and thus ensured an excellent starting position in the second leg in two weeks in Leifers (December 5th). Podbrezova is the team of the currently best player in the world, namely the Serbian Vilmos Zavarko.
