These power ladies dominate the bowling scene

The two top women's teams proved their ambitions on the last match day: with flawless 6-0 victories.

For the Fugger Vipiteno there is no quarter on the home track in the Bliegerstadion. The Ratschings selection had to find that out the hard way. The Fuggers are still not in top form - no player has managed to get over the 600-wood mark so far, but they were (almost) easily enough against the guests from the nearby Wipptal side valley.

Almost because Sofia Saxl almost gave up the match point in the first duel against Petra Haller. Haller got 531 wood and got 2 set points, Saxl swept 538 wood off the track and also got 2 set points and the match point because she knocked over a total of 7 more pins. The second duel was much less exciting: Vipiteno's Gabriele Bürger swept 578 pieces of wood off the track and was also the best of the day. She gave her counterpart, Andrea Mair, no chance; the woman from Ratsching managed 440 wood.

In the last two duels, Sabrina Parigger took on Edith Pfattner and Italian record holder Laura Runggatscher took on Gabriele Volgger. Duel number one was again evenly matched, both Parigger and Pfattner each got 2 set points and the Holz had to decide. Parrigger was ahead with 535:524. It was clearer for Runggatscher, who took all four set points and the match point from Volgger with 575:483 wood.

Ratschings in Villnöß has no chance Verdings, which was a guest at Villnöß, had a similar fate to Ratsching's selection. The Eisacktal women had no chance against last year's runners-up and lost 0-6. The best of the day was Villnöß sports captain Nathalie Profanter, who swept 585 pieces of wood off the track. From Verding's perspective, Nadia Unterfrauner was the best of her team on the day with 514 wood.

Jaufenburg, Tirol Mutspitz, Sarnthein and Plose also scored points on the last match day.

Lana scratches at the sensation In the end, Lana didn't see anything worthwhile in the men's A class, but the performance that the Burggräfler showed against Fugger Vipiteno was impressive. After a hard-fought game, Lana lost 3:5 against the Wipptaler in the Lido Lana. Seven players threw more than 7 pieces of wood.

Lana's Christian Gruber and Sterzing's Stefan Zini played against each other first. The latter was ahead with 635:601 wood. Manfred Schnitzer and Manuel Hofer were also on the track at the same time. Schnitzer threw the same amount of wood as his teammate Gruber, 601, and thus equalized for the hosts against Hofer. Georg Plaickner then competed against Sterzing's returnee Florian Thaler. Thaler had to admit defeat. Plaickner knocked over 608 pins, Vipiteno only 591. And Lana's Hannes Pichler also won against Franz Höller (584:577 wood), meaning Lana led 3-1. Egon Ralser (612:570 wood against Johann Runggaldier and Reinhard Obergasteiger) shortened the score to 2:3 for the Fugger Vipiteno. Things got hot in the last duel, as both Lanas Karl Egger and Reinhard Gruber from the Fuggern are top players. Egger swept 629 wood off the track, but only scored one set point because Gruber came up with an impressive 679 wood. With this he secured the 3:3 and the total score also spoke for the Fuggers, which meant that nothing came of the sensation.

The game between Sarnthein and the selection of Ratschings was also extremely exciting. There was no winner: the final result was 4:4, meaning the points were shared.

Franz Obkircher and Josef Obkircher each scored a match point for Sarnthein, while Christian Kasslatter, Johannes Oberhofer, Andreas Gschwenter and Peter Volgger scored for Ratschings and the score was 4-2 for the guests after the duels. In the overall score, Sarnthein was ahead by 70 pins (3338:3268) and equalized again.
