Sarntal's bowling ladies are a force to be reckoned with.

With 26 points after 15 games, the Sarntal women still lead the table, even though Fugger Sterzing have two games in hand, and Sarntal also has one. Everything points to a two-horse race for the championship between these two teams.

Sarntal once again demonstrated their dominance on the last match day. Against Tirol Mutspitz, the Sarntal women were hardly ever under pressure, conceding only three sets in total, leading by 198 pins overall, and consequently winning flawlessly 6-0. In the first match, Angelika Stauder (Sarntal) defeated Silvia Gaiser (Tirol Mutspitz) 522-504, although the match ended 2-2 in sets. Greta Trojer (Sarntal) didn't drop a single set against Sara Waldner (Tirol Mutspitz). The young Sarntal talent prevailed 570-486.

Sarnen's captain, Adele Ainhauser, also won her match decisively. The experienced player prevailed against Gabriele Gamper of Tirol Mutspitz with a score of 535:501 (3:1 in sets). Tirol Mutspitz also secured the final set of the match, as Dagmar Wiedenhofer dominated Tirol's Dora Rinner. With the day's best performance of 576 pins, she defeated Rinner, who knocked down 504 pins, convincingly 4:0 in sets.

In the overall standings, Sarntal led 2203:1995 pins after these four matches and secured the final two team points, resulting in a final score of 6:0. In this form, Sarntal can rightfully dream of the championship, even though Fugger Sterzing still holds all the cards.

High tension in Ridnaun Ridnauntal put up a strong fight against third-placed Naturns in the last match of the A1 men's league, but ultimately suffered a narrow 3-5 defeat. The overall result favored Naturns, meaning the team from the lower Vinschgau region remains among the league's top contenders.

The Ridnauntal team got off to a strong start last Saturday on their home lanes at the Hotel Plunhof. First, Christian Kasslatter clearly defeated Florian Schlögl from Naturns with a score of 584:541, securing three set points in the process. In the second match, Thomas Haller immediately put Ridnauntal ahead 2:0, defeating Roland Wallnöfer from Naturns in a thrilling game with a score of 579:577 (2:2 in sets).

But Naturns struck back. First, Frantisek Molcan prevailed against Ridnaun's Johannes Oberhofer with a score of 556:540 (2:2 in sets). Naturns captain Wolfgang Blaas gave his Ridnaun opponent, Andreas Gschwenter, hardly a chance. Blaas was the day's best with 640 pins and won three sets against Gschwenter, who finished with 586 pins and also delivered his team's best performance.

In the last two matches, Peter Volgger (Ridnauntal selection) first won against Werner Gruber and Walter Schlögl (Naturns, substituted after throw 60) with 585:571 pins (2:2 in sets). Then Naturns, with Kurt Fliri, leveled the score again, clearly defeating Ridnauntal's Reinhard Lechner 4:0 in sets and 566:516 pins.

In the overall result, Naturns had the upper hand with 3451:3390 pins, securing a final score of 5:3. This means the Ridnauntal team remains in a relegation position for the time being.

The next match day is generating great anticipation, as all four top teams will meet in the duels Naturns against Fugger Sterzing and Algund against Neumarkt.
