On the international stage: South Tyrol's climbers are making their mark.

Last weekend, two important international competitions were on the program for South Tyrolean sport climbing: the European Championship in Lead Climbing with Filip Schenk and the Para World Cup, in which David Kammerer (AL2) and Florian Mutschlechner (AL1) competed.

At the Para World Cup, both athletes confirmed their strong form and once again delivered impressive performances at the highest international level. Florian Mutschlechner improved his ranking by one place compared to the last World Cup in Innsbruck, achieving an excellent seventh place in the AL1 category.

The competition was particularly close for David Kammerer. In the AL2 category, he narrowly missed out on a podium finish. Although he was tied on points with the third-placed athlete, his lower qualifying score meant he had to settle for fourth place. Nevertheless, this result once again underlines his status among the international elite in para-climbing.

Filip Schenk also impressed at the European Lead Climbing Championships. With a strong performance, he climbed to an excellent seventh place, confirming his current outstanding form on the international stage.

The European Championship title in lead climbing was secured by Spaniard Alberto Ginés López. The silver medal went to Italian Giovanni Placci, while Frenchman Sam Avezou secured the bronze medal.
