Italian Cup Bouldering: Moar narrowly misses the podium

Ten AVS athletes participated in the first Italian Cup in bouldering last weekend. Matilda Liù Moar missed the podium by 0,1 points, while Leonie Hofer finished in 10th place.

The first of three Italian bouldering cups took place at the BigUp climbing gym in Cuneo over the weekend. A total of 10 AVS athletes – 2 men and 8 women – participated.

Emma Benazzi (AVS Meran), Leonie Hofer (AVS Passeier) and Matilda Liù Moar (AVS Brixen) qualified for the semi-finals, with Moar reaching the final of the top 8. She narrowly missed the podium: 0,1 points behind the third-place finisher, she came in 4th. Leonie Hofer finished in 10th place.

The Italian Cup series in bouldering continues – on February 21st and 22nd in Como, and on March 21st and 22nd in Prato.
