Last Junior Cup of the season: Overall standings are in

The Junior Cup season 2025/26 came to a close last weekend with an exciting speed climbing competition. The final regional climbing event of the season took place in Mezzolombardo, and the overall winners have now been determined.

On Saturday and Sunday, the athletes in the speed discipline put themselves to the test one last time this season. Despite the rainy weather, their motivation was in no way dampened – all participants gave their all and ensured a dynamic end to the season.

After the competition concluded, the overall winners from Trentino and South Tyrol were determined. The overall ranking is based on the total points achieved throughout the entire season. Participation in at least one competition in each discipline—Lead, Speed, and Boulder—is required for inclusion in the overall ranking. Athletes who do not participate in a discipline will not be considered for the overall ranking.

The overall rankings are also decisive for the allocation of starting places at the Italian Championships. On the first weekend of the Italian Youth Championships, a total of 14 South Tyrolean athletes will compete in the U17 category, 9 in the U19 category, and the AVS will be represented by 12 athletes in the oldest youth category, U21.

The younger classes are also strongly represented: At the Italian Youth Championships from May 29th to 31st, a total of 22 AVS athletes will participate in the U11 category, 14 athletes are registered in the U13 category and 12 athletes will start in the U15 category.
