Leonie Hofer on the podium in the Boulder Italian Cup

The three-round series of the Italian Cup in bouldering concluded this weekend in Modena. Leonie Hofer of AVS Passeier secured third place overall and finished fourth in the weekend's competition.

A total of eleven South Tyrolean athletes traveled to the last Italian Cup in Modena; Hubert Schwarz accompanied them as coach and supervisor.

In addition to Leonie Hofer, Johannes Egger and Matilda Moar also qualified for the semifinals - Moar narrowly missed the final and came 7th. Johannes Egger was also eliminated in the semifinals, David Piccolruaz put in a good performance but did not reach the semifinals.

The other participating AVS athletes, Kathrin Mock, Nadia Insam, Emmy Lang, Vanessa Atz, Rita Oltramari, Charlotte Ladurner and Veronika Cagol, also showed good performances.

Leonie Hofer was the only one to reach the final, taking 4th place. This puts her in 3rd place in the overall season rankings.
