130 participants in the youth mountain run in Oberplanitzing

Local hero Lukas Baumgartner won the U18 competition. As was the case a week ago in Völs, Janina Wild from ASV Deutschnofen was at the top of the girls of the same age. Wild left the two Merano women Julia Gamper and Kathrin Hauser behind. In the U16 category, Johanna Herbst, an athlete from ASV Deutschnofen, also won, again ahead of the SC-Meran duo Eva Schrott and Lilian Marie Andres. In the U14, Sophia Lamprecht from Meran was in a class of her own. She relegated Sarah Niedermayr from Kaltern and Selina Gruber from LG Schlern to places 2 and 3. In the boys' race, the title went to Schlern: Bastian Perez Montes won ahead of Daniel Florian and Lukas Andergassen from Kaltern. Many young talents also took part in the race in Oberplanitzing. Anna Hofer gets EM ticket Last week, Anna Hofer from Rabland in Lanzada got the U20 ticket for the European Mountain Running Championships in Up&Down. The athlete from SC Meran will compete in this discipline as well as in the uphill. The title fights will take place in Annecy at the end of May. The second race of the South Tyrolean youth mountain running series took place in Oberplanitzing on Saturday. Almost 130 athletes from the U8 to U18 age groups took part.
