14 years ago, the South Tyrol selection even won the Arge Alp Meeting, and in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022 they were always on the podium. Last year, the local athletes also achieved a good result at the home meeting in Brixen, finishing fourth. The South Tyrol selection celebrated three daily victories.
This weekend, Aichach (Germany) is the venue for this year's Arge Alp Meeting. In addition to the South Tyrol selection, the teams from Trentino, host Bavaria, Salzburg, Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Ticino and Graubünden will also set up camp in Aichach. The meeting begins on Saturday at 13:30 p.m. with the men's long jump and the women's shot put. The official opening ceremony will take place at 13:15 p.m. The Arge Alp Meeting also indirectly concludes the athletics track season.
