420 kilometres: The special running experience along the Etsch

Last weekend, the “Resia Rosolina” relay race took place for the fifth time. 36 teams completed the 420 km route from the source of the Etsch at Lake Reschen to its mouth in the Adriatic Sea in Rosolina.

This special race is a unique experience for the participants: you go through 5 provinces and 2 regions, from 1500 m above sea level to the sea, from the cold to the heat, crossing many villages, towns and scenic beauties, always along the second longest river in Italy.

This year, the race welcomed a record number of 36 teams. These included not only runners from Italy, but also one German and two Czech teams. South Tyrol was particularly well represented, sending six teams into the race. They were the ASC Laas Raiffeisen, the Seiseralm Running Team, the #strongertogether team, the Lauffreunde Sarntal with two teams, one men's team and one mixed team, and the ASV Pfeffersberg.
