Alex Schwazer has registered for the 10-kilometer race of the regional individual championships in the general class, which will take place on Saturday at the Coni Stadium in Bolzano. The walker from Kalch will compete in the race starting at 18.15:XNUMX p.m. Schwazer has been registered for the Atletica San Biagio di Callalta (Treviso) club since last year.

The 50 Beijing Olympic champion in the 2008km walk had already returned to competition in July of last year after an eight-year ban. In May of this year, Schwazer first participated in the General Class Regional Team Championships in Veneto (in San Biagio di Callalta), where he won the 10.000 meters in 43:11,37 minutes.

Schwazer then competed in the 3000-meter race at the regional Masters Championships in Haslach, finishing in 11:43,03 minutes – setting a new Italian Masters record in the M40 age group. He missed the world record by just 15 seconds.
