Arge Alp: Good 4th place for South Tyrolean selection

This year, the victory went to the athletes from Bavaria. The hosts were able to win by 219 points, clearly ahead of Ticino (197), Trentino (182) and the South Tyrol selection (178). This weekend, Aichach was the venue for this year's Arge Alp Meeting. This event also indirectly concluded the general class athletics track season. The young South Tyrolean team showed all of its skills in Germany. In the end, they won six daily victories and ten other podium places. Alberto Masera made it to the top of the podium three times. The Bozen native won the long jump with 7.29 m and also won the high jump and triple jump with 2.00 and 14.28 m respectively. In the women's race, Bruneck sprinter Ira Harrasser was in a class of her own over 100 and 200 m (12.16 and 24.61 respectively). The Lanan pole vaulter Nathalie Kofler won with 4.00 m. There were also four silver and six bronze medals. Simon Zandarco from Gargazon came second in the 110 m hurdles and pole vault. His teammate from SV Lana, Linda Maria Pircher from Burgstall, came second in the long jump. The 2x4 m women's relay team also secured second place. Bronze went to Lukas Lanzinger (400 m), the two men's relay teams (5000x4, 100x4) and to the Val Gardena javelin thrower Chiara Goffi, high jumper Laura Hofer and Linda Maria Pircher (three).
