De Simone and Arquin win the “Tiefroschtn X-trem” - All results

On Saturday, the mountain runners had to cover 23 kilometers and 1.580 meters in altitude to get from the Neves reservoir (1.856 m) above Mühlbach in the Tauferer Ahrntal to the Tiefrastenhütte near Terenten (2.312 m) further south. The categories women, men and mixed were counted, with one partner per person allowed and both athletes having to pass the checkpoints together.

In the men's race, victory went to the duo from ASV Gossensass Skialp. Roberto De Simone and Lukas Arquin finished in 2:18,35 hours ahead of Roland Osele/Oswald Wenin from Telmekom Team Südtirol (2:21,37 hours) and Robert Hopfgartner/Tobias Crepaz from ASV Mühlwald/St. Georgen (2:28,15) through.

For the women, however, Josefina Leitner (ASC Pfunders) and Elisabeth Egarter (ASC 3 Zinnen) were the only team to reach the Tiefrastenhütte in under three hours. With a time of 2:59,27 hours, they confidently relegated Manuela Steiner and Petra Leiter from ASV Mühlwald, as well as Stefanie De Simone and Julia Kompatscher from ASV Gossensass Skialp, to second and third place.

In the mixed competition, Anna Pedevilla and Patrick Costabiei from the South Tyrolean running club Sparkasse came first in 2:43,09 hours. Second place went to Gerhard Unterhuber and Birgit Stuffer (ASV Gossensass Skialp/Green Valley), while Anneliese Felderer and Markus Planötscher (Lauffreunde Sarntal) came third.
