The Gsieser Almenlauf is calling!

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the legendary Gsieser Almenlauf will enter its 11th edition.

The 11,7-kilometer route with 1.070 meters of elevation gain leads from the end of the valley in St. Magdalena, past several alpine pastures and over the Kalksteiner Jöchl pass, to the Uwald Alm. The mass start is at 9:00 a.m. at the Schlosserhof at the end of the valley.

Besides ambitious runners, amateur athletes are also very welcome – for them, the “Volksmarsch” offers a variant without timekeeping and with a freely selectable route.

From 14.00 p.m. onwards, the awards ceremony will take place at the finish area on the Uwald Alm, honoring the fastest men and women, as well as a large raffle with attractive prizes and vouchers. A mid-time ranking will also add to the excitement. The day will conclude with an after-race party at the Uwald Alm featuring the DJ team VesPo.
