The Teroldego Events are in the starting blocks as the third Top7 stage

The event, organized by the Atletica Rotaliana running club, has been added to the Top7 series calendar for the first time and will take place on May 13th at 17 p.m. in Mezzocorona. Thanks to the “Staffetta del Teroldego”, the half marathon route can also be completed in a relay. There is also the non-competitive “7 km del Teroldego” run. The countdown for the first stage of the Top7 running series in Trentino has begun: In the late afternoon of Saturday, May 13th, numerous runners from the region and beyond will be gathered at the start in Mezzocorona and just over 21 kilometers in the vineyards of the Teroldego growing area. Ten days before the deadline, the preparations for the third edition of the Teroldego Events are almost complete. "We are ready. Only the final details are missing before the race, but the preparations are more or less complete. The route, which runs exclusively on asphalted roads and is very flat, has already been confirmed by FIDAL,” reports Lorenzo Santelli, vice president of the organizing Atletica Rotaliana. This year's route of the Teroldego Half Marathon is indeed a novelty. After the first two editions started from Mezzolombardo and Roveré della Luna, this time the starting point of the race, which has an altitude difference of minus 128 meters, is moving to the Piazza della Chiesa in Mezzocorona. From there the runners will first reach Roveré della Luna before heading back through the valley to Mezzocorona. After the participants have reached the starting point again, they continue to Mezzolombardo. Then the “Laghetto di Ischia” is passed and the so-called “Giro del Bogi” is completed before the route takes the cycle path back to the finish in Mezzocorona. Same route for the relay With the “Staffetta del Teroldego” relay race, the organizers have also thought of the participants who would like to tackle the route through the “Piana Rotaliana” vineyards as a team. You can also run in a relay of two on the same route of the Teroldego Half Marathon. The first relay runner completes 14 kilometers. His part runs from the start to Roveré della Luna and back again before high fives in Mezzocorona and his partner completes the remaining seven kilometers of the route. After the race, the best athletes of the half marathon and relay will take part in the award ceremony, which will take place at 19.30 p.m. in the Piazza della Chiesa and will be rounded off with a pasta party for all participants. In addition, something is also offered to those runners who do not want to commit themselves to competition. All these athletes can take part in the just-for-fun run “7 km del Teroldego” on a shortened route of seven kilometers.
