Gerd Frick 4th at the world famous Jungfrau Marathon, Hermann Achmüller 5th.
After 42.195 km, 1829 meters of climbing and 305 meters of descent, Gerd Frick was only 0.4 seconds away from a podium finish at the Jungfrau Marathon. In the 18th edition of what is probably the most famous mountain marathon in the world with 4027 participants from 60 nations, Frick needed 3:04.52 hours. Hermann Achmüller followed in fifth, 48 seconds behind. The victory went to the Italian Marco De Gasperi.
