Half marathon: Frick and Rungger in lockstep

The two South Tyroleans Gerd Frick and Hannes Rungger fought head-to-head for the best Italian placement at the Lake Maggiore half marathon (21097 km). In 1:06:46, Frick (11th) ran his best half marathon time in seven years. Rungger followed immediately behind, five seconds behind. In the season duels, Frick was able to shorten the score to 1:2.
