Youth mountain running season in Kaltern ended

The decisions about the provincial championship were also made on the beautiful circuit around the sports facility in Kaltern. In Überetsch, Janina Wild prevailed in the U18 women's race. The athlete from ASV Deutschnofen held her own in 10.40 minutes, clearly ahead of the two Merano women Kathrin Hauser (11.23) and Julia Gamper (11.42). In the overall standings, Wild/Gamper tied for first place with 149 points. Among the boys of the same age, Aaron Gallmetzer from SC Meran won, ahead of his teammate David Agethle. In the U16 girls, Eva Schrott was in a class of her own: The Merano native stopped the time measurement at 4.31 minutes, just ahead of Lina Wallisch (4.34) from the Südtirol Team Club and ahead of her teammate Magdalena Pircher (4.45). Schrott also took the overall award. Leo Pedo left everyone behind in the U16 boys, while Laurin Marschall from ASV Steinegg was the fastest in the U14. Johanna Herbst from Deutschnofen dominated the girls' race and won with a huge lead over Anna Thaler and Klara Alber. Local hero Sarah Niedermayr and Sarner Matthias Kröss won the U12 classes. Francesco Civita and Magdalena Kröss (both U10) as well as Leo Weissensteiner and Anna Cattani (both U8) were able to prevail in their age categories. A general class cross-country race also took place in Kaltern at the same time. As the best South Tyrolean athlete, Luca Boninsegna, who competes for SC Meran, placed third in 3 minutes. Youth mountain running season in Kaltern ended

This weekend the last youth mountain run of the season took place in St. Anton near Kaltern. No fewer than 125 athletes from the U8 to U18 age groups took part.
