With Wierer at the start: Ötzi Trailrun a complete success

Sunny weather and early warmth couldn't stop Daniel Pattis: On the Sunny Mountain Trail course (30 km, 2.100 m elevation gain), Pattis, already known in Naturno for his repeated victories, delivered another impressive performance, securing first place with a time of 2:43:33. The 27-year-old topped the podium at last year's Naturno Skyrace and also won the Sunny Mountain Trail two years earlier. This makes him the first athlete to achieve such a winning streak in Naturno. Andreas Reiterer, who delivered a solid performance to secure second place, made another strong statement in this race.

North Tyrolean Anna Plattner also continued her success on the 30 km course, once again securing victory. "It went really well! The warm weather was a challenge, but I love these conditions," she said after the race. She not only repeated her victory but also improved her time compared to last year, with a new time of 3:14:35.

Hofer and Vender shine in hot weather Anna Hofer from Rabland prevailed in the Naturns Skyrace (15 km, 1.150 m elevation gain), once again proving her familiarity with the challenging terrain. Following her strong second and third-place finishes in previous years, she crowned herself with a well-deserved first place this time. With an outstanding performance on the challenging course, she secured the win and once again demonstrated her excellent form.

With a strong performance and a clear will to win, Alberto Vender prevailed at the Naturno Skyrace. The athlete from Team New Balance – SA Valchiese, who already topped the podium in Naturno in 2023, confirmed his class again this year. "It was challenging, and the competition was tough. But we did well and had a lot of fun," said the satisfied winner.

Dorothea Wierer at Just for Fun An absolute highlight of the Alpenplus Ötzi Trailrun was the participation of Dorothea Wierer. The world-class biathlete competed in the Just for Fun (8 km, 330 m elevation gain) with her husband Stefano Corradini and attracted attention with her participation, which further boosted the atmosphere among the spectators.

Around 150 children took part in the VIP Apple Kids Run and generated a great deal of excitement. With beaming faces and full of energy, the little ones mastered their courses, supported by cheering parents and spectators. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the helpers, sponsors, and organizers whose dedication made this event possible. The fifth edition of this special event was a complete success and brought great joy to everyone in attendance. The date for the sixth edition of the Alpenplus Ötzi Trailrun has already been set: April 11, 2026.

The fifth edition of the Alpenplus Ötzi Trailrun once again offered pure excitement. Anna Plattner and Daniel Pattis once again secured first place on the Sunny Mountain Trail, while Anna Hofer and Alberto Vender emerged victorious in the Naturns Skyrace.
