U23 Italian Championship: South Tyroleans come away empty-handed

South Tyrol went to the title fights in Salerno with high hopes. In the end it wasn't enough for a podium finish. Sara Buglisi narrowly missed out on a medal. The ace walker from the Bolzano club Athletic Club 96 had to settle for fourth place over 10 km in 49:37.98 minutes, just 4 seconds short of bronze. Katja Pattis from Tiers, who is studying in the USA and was the top favorite in the 3000 obstacle race, only managed fifth place after a break due to illness.
