IndyCar race: Mick Schumacher crashes

A crash prematurely ended Mick Schumacher's IndyCar race in Markham, Canada.

The former Formula 1 driver apparently crashed unchallenged into the wall with the right front of his car in turn four on lap 15. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver was running well within the top ten at that point.

For the son of Formula 1 record world champion Michael Schumacher, who had started from tenth position on the street circuit, it was the second premature exit since the opening race in St. Petersburg in March.

Former Formula 1 driver Marcus Ericsson (Andretti Global) secured the victory after a long dry spell. After 63 races without a win, the Swede finally stood on top again in the province of Ontario.
