The press celebrates Piastri, but not Norris

The next one-two finish for the dominant McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, as well as the next set of weather conditions, are the talk of the Formula 1 season in Belgium. This is what international media are writing about the 13th race of the season in Spa.

Great Britain

Daily Mirror: "Lando Norris's gamble fails, Lewis Hamilton shines from the back of the field. (...) Oscar Piastri is fastest after a long rain break and struck early, clinching victory at the Belgian Grand Prix with the decisive maneuver."


The Sun: "Lewis Hamilton is making amends for the disastrous Formula 1 weekend in Belgium, while Lando Norris is losing ground in the World Championship after an 80-minute delay. (...) The fearless Piastri left pole-sitter Norris behind after just one lap, took the lead, and won a largely uneventful race at Spa."
