The Italian Formula 1 team did not specify the duration of the 28-year-old's new contract. However, they did mention future seasons on Wednesday. "He's here to stay," the team wrote. Leclerc entered Formula 1 in 2018 and has driven for Ferrari since 2019.
The Monegasque driver currently occupies third place in the World Championship standings, behind the two Mercedes drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, but ahead of his highly decorated teammate Lewis Hamilton. Reports indicate that the Briton's contract is valid until the end of 2027.

“I couldn’t be happier to continue this journey with Scuderia Ferrari,” Leclerc said of his new contract. “It’s the team I’ve loved since childhood and dreamed of being a part of, and after all these years it has become like a second family.” But the ultimate goal remains: “To bring the World Championship back to Maranello.” The last Drivers’ World Champion in a Ferrari is the Finn Kimi Räikkönen. Next year will mark 20 years since that triumph.Edit Profile
