Spanish Aprilia rider Jorge Martin won the MotoGP sprint race in Le Mans on Saturday. The former world champion cruised to victory after 13 laps, finishing well ahead of Francesco Bagnaia on his Ducati and his teammate Marco Bezzecchi, who continues to lead the championship.

World champion Marc Marquez crashed spectacularly in the closing stages and subsequently limped towards the pits. The Grand Prix follows on Sunday.
