Felix Wegscheider put on a great show.
Felix Wegscheider is unstoppable again in Pomposa.
After a two-week break, Felix Wegscheider competed in the second round of the Italian Supermoto Championship (Internazionali d'Italia) over the Pentecost weekend. The 26-year-old from Seis traveled once again to Pomposa in the province of Ferrara. And once again, the South Tyrolean motorsports rider delivered a convincing performance.

Just two weeks ago, Wegscheider competed at the Autodromo di Pomposa in the municipality of San Giuseppe (province of Ferrara) in the North-East Regional Championship, winning two races. He has now proven once again that the Pomposa track suits him. At the second round of the Italian Supermoto International Championship (Internazionali d'Italia Supermoto), the KTM rider secured a third-place finish and two victories – in three races, it should be noted. "And I was sick the entire weekend," Wegscheider remarked.
In the first race, Wegscheider finished third in the "Fast" category, behind Jonathan Zecchin and Jacopo Monti. In the subsequent sprint race, he relegated Zecchin and Monti to second and third place, respectively. This served as a preview of the final race, in which he finished ahead of Zecchin and Riccardo Montanino. Wegscheider thus successfully defended his lead in the overall standings, even extending it to 30 points over Zecchin. The third round of the Italian Supermoto Championship (Internazionali d'Italia Supermoto) is scheduled for almost exactly one month from now, on June 26th and 27th, in Ortona, in the province of Chieti.
A highly satisfied Wegscheider analyzes the race weekend in Pomposa with satisfaction: “I’m very happy with how this year’s season has started. The strenuous preparation has paid off, the results are excellent and confirm my approach and give me even more motivation to continue. The equipment is also perfect, and for that I would like to thank my father Markus, who sacrifices many hours of his free time,” says the 26-year-old. The South Tyrolean wants to build on this success this weekend: The third stage of the North East Regional Championship takes place in Jesolo on Saturday and Sunday.
