Motocross riders impress at Italian Championship

On Sunday, the third round of the AMA Over 40 and Rider Italian Motocross Championship took place in Fara Vicentino (Vicenza). The South Tyrolean riders also put on a strong showing.

The highlight of the day came from Fabian Lantschner of Motoclub ST in the MX2 Rider class. After a crash at the start of the first race, the South Tyrolean initially dropped back to 34th place. However, with an impressive comeback, Lantschner fought his way back up to second. In the second race, he left the competition no chance, winning convincingly and securing the overall victory. Andrea Asinari of Scuderia Dolomiti finished 20th in the same class. In the Master MX2 class, Norbert Lantschner of MC Evergreen achieved a strong fifth place.

In Fermo, in the Marche region, the first round of the Northeast qualifying round for the Italian Junior Championship was held. In the 85cc Senior class, Jakob Gampenrieder of Alp-Riders Meran finished in 13th place. In the 125cc class, Liam Pichler of MC Berbenno Pardi Royal Pat KTM took 12th place, while Elia Fulco of MC Arco finished 25th.
