Target Competition takes 3 wins in 4 races

While the 18-year-old super talent Marco Butti was slowed down by a red flag in qualifying on the way to pole position and had to settle for 6th place, the Korean Junui Park was very happy with 5th place, as was Rodolfo Massaro with P10 and Junesung Park with P12.

In the qualifying for the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, 1-year-old Marvin Klein (F) was used for the first time for Target Competition, supported by “Porsche Zentrum Bozen-Trient”. The two-time winner of the French Porsche Carrera Cup achieved the masterpiece of taking pole straight away. The twins Artem and Shakar Slutski also did very well and secured P24 and P7 respectively.

The two subsequent races were the highlights of the day if not the entire season. Marco Butti got off to a good start and, with his superior driving style, overtook all the drivers in front of him blow by blow and took victory. Junui Park came in an excellent 2th place, Massaro in 5th place. Through no fault of his own, Junesung destroyed his vehicle in a mass crash at the start.

But the team from Andrian didn't have enough: Marvin Klein also took home an unchallenged victory in the Porsche Carrera Cup right from the start. His first race for Target Competition and his first victory. Artem Slutski managed to place in the top ten again, finishing sixth.

But still not enough, another victory was achieved with Marco Butti on Sunday! Starting from P3, he had already overtaken both opponents in front of him on the second lap. He then confidently defended his top position until the finish.

A successful end to the season Junui Park came in an excellent 7th place. Rodolfo Massaro also brought home a good result with P8. In the final 2nd race of the Porsche Carrera Cup, Marvin Klein started from 3rd position, ahead of him the new series champion, Larry Ten Voorde. He was able to overtake him, but when he prepared to attack the leader shortly before the end of the race, there was a safety car phase that prevented another victory. The Slutzki twins once again made it into the top 10, this time in P8 and P9.

This successful season came to an end in both racing series with an incredible 3 wins, a 2nd place and a pole in one weekend. Target Competition can go into the winter break with satisfaction and confidence.

Last weekend, the South Tyrolean team Target Competition competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia and TCR Italy racing series with a total of 8 drivers. First of all, it should be like a triumphal procession.
