Neat conclusion: Target Competition is doing well in Monza

There was a good team result in qualifying on Friday. With 40 vehicles at the start, 4 drivers from the Target Team, Marco Butti, Park Junui, Park Junesung and Cesare Brusa, took places 6 to 11. Rodolfo Massaro was unable to take part in qualifying due to technical problems. There was also a good result in qualifying in the Porsche Carrera Cup. The Israeli Zakhar Slutski was able to secure a respectable 8th place on the grid, while his twin brother Artem ended up in P17.

The first TCR Italy race on Saturday turned into a real crash festival. Several safety car phases, due to the numerous but minor accidents, only allowed a few minutes of real racing action. Marco Butti was able to improve to P1, Junui Park came to P3, Rodolfo Massaro to P7, while Cesare Brusa was “shot down” through no fault of his own and, like Junui Park, did not finish the race. The first race of the Porsche Carrera Cup was also marked by a few safety car phases. The first victim was Zhakar Slutski, who was knocked out by a competitor in the very first lap. In the second race of TCR Italy, Marco Butti demonstrated his great talent and fighting spirit. Although he was clearly inferior in terms of performance on the long straights of the high-speed track in Monza, he fought with some opponents for several laps and, given the differences in performance, was able to secure a very good 2th place. He then received a time penalty for a minor offense that dropped him to 5th place. The two Park brothers also did well, finishing the race in P12 and P7. Cesare Brusa came in 8th, Rodolfo Massaro ended up at the back of the field. The Dutchman Niels Langeveld won the race.

The Porsche Carrera Cup race on Sunday was also hotly contested. Artem Slutski was able to gain a few places and take home some points with P12. His brother Zhakhar came 18th. The next races for the TCR Italy and the Porsche Carrera Cup will take place from October 13th to 15.10th. in Vallelunga.

After the summer break, last weekend the motor racing team Target Competition from Andrian set off for Monza with a total of 7 vehicles. 5 Hyundai Elantras competed in the TCR Italy, 2 Porsche Carreras competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia.
