Ski Cross World Cup in San Candido from December 22nd to 23rd, 2012

The 2012-13 World Cup season kicks off on Sunday, December 9th in Nakiska, Canada. The World Cup entourage then moves on to Telluride (USA) and Val Thorens (FRA). This is followed by the highlight of the season, from the 22nd to the 23rd. In December the ski crossers stop in South Tyrol, more precisely at Haunold in San Candido.

The new year will see races in France, Canada, Germany, Russia, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland before the 2012-13 season finally comes to an end at the end of March with the finale in Sierra Nevada. Another highlight of the season is certainly the World Championships, which will be held in Voss-Oslo (Norway) from March 5th to 10th.

The Italian national ski cross team includes, among others, two South Tyroleans: the former Ski World Cup athlete Stefan Thanei from Burgeis and Stefan Miribung from Val Badia.
