Boxing: Feigenbutz defends Interconti title in Ludwigsburg

Ludwigsburg (SID) Professional boxer Vincent Feigenbutz (Karlsruhe) continues to work on his next world championship opportunity this weekend. In Ludwigsburg, the 22-year-old super middleweight will defend his IBF Intercontinental title against South African Ryno Liebenberg on Saturday (20.00 p.m./Sport1). For Feigenbutz it is the 30th professional fight (so far 27 wins, two defeats). “One thing is certain: in the end one of us will be on the ground,” said Liebenberg before the fight. Feigenbutz promptly countered: "Yes, he's right. In the end someone will be lying. And that will be Ryno Liebenberg." Feigenbutz had previously prepared in a tough training camp in the snow of Slovenia. If the youngster defeats Liebenberg, he may be in line for another world championship fight this year. Last year, Feigenbutz lost his first world championship fight against the Italian Giovanni de Carolis by technical knockout and missed being crowned the youngest German champion in boxing history.
