Veronika Widman Widmann has been doing well in the Downhill World Cup recently, but has never been good enough to reach the top. That could change as early as Sunday, when the South Tyrolean makes her next attempt in La Thuile (ITA). In Saturday's qualification, Widmann finished 9th. The fastest qualifier was Gracey Hemstreet of Canada, followed by Tahnee Seagrave (GBR) and Camille Balanache of Switzerland.
Saturday was not quite ideal for the enduro rider Nadine EllecostaThe 26-year-old from St. Lorenzen finished 8th on Saturday. This puts Ellecosta in 3rd place overall. The Pustertal native last took second place on the podium in Val di Fassa.
