Latsch is getting a new sporting event

The “Specialized Chili Enduro Series”, launched in 2023, is stopping in Latsch for the first time. The season opener of the racing series is on the program from May 31st to June 2nd. Numerous participants from several countries, especially from German-speaking countries, are expected in Laces. All ambitious enduro riders can take part.

The racing series was founded by Henry Leon Heitmüller and Florian Kulike with the aim of not letting well-known and popular enduro classics die out and of continuing to improve them in the future. Latsch has a long tradition as a destination for enduro races; just a few years ago, the Trail Trophy regularly took place here.

In Latsch, several races will take place over three days as part of the “Specialized Chili Enduro Series”, both on the Nörderberg and the Sonnenberg. The Latsch mountain railways, i.e. the St. Martin cable car and the Tarscher Alm chairlift, take mountain bikers to lofty heights. There are a total of twelve stages on the program, i.e. sections of the route on which the time is measured.

“Our racing series stands for top locations, an extensive supporting program with a unique atmosphere, a first-class selection of stages as well as professional organization and timing,” emphasizes organizer Henry Leon Heitmüller. The focus is always on fun and the shared experience. And because it's supposed to be an event for the whole family, the young bikers don't miss out either. Therefore, the new rating classes “Kids” and “Juniors” are being introduced for the first time.

There are a total of five stages as part of the “Chili Enduro Series”: After Latsch, the racing series stops at Geisskopf in Germany, in Nauders, in Susice in the Czech Republic and for the finale in September in Lützelbach, Germany.

A whole village helps The Chili Enduro Series in Latsch is organized in collaboration between the race organizer, ASV Latsch, the municipality of Latsch and the Latsch-Martell tourist association. Around 100 volunteers are on duty during the event. “The event not only creates a lot of direct added value, but also a great advertising effect,” emphasizes David Stocker, managing director of the Latsch-Martell tourism association. Latsch can live up to its name as a trail Eldorado.

Laces has been considered a trail mecca for mountain bikers for many years. We have now succeeded in bringing a top-class racing series to Vinschgau.
