Third stage win: Narváez again

Ecuadorian professional cyclist Jhonatan Narváez won the eleventh stage of the 109th Giro d'Italia.

On the hilly 195-kilometer stage between Porcari and Chiavari, the 29-year-old prevailed in a final sprint against Spaniard Enric Mas on the Ligurian coast. Italian Diego Ulissi finished third.

As expected, there were no changes in the overall standings. Giro d'Italia discovery Afonso Eulálio from Portugal remains in first place, 27 seconds ahead of two-time Danish Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard and 1 minute and 57 seconds ahead of Dutchman Thymen Arensman. Felix Gall from East Tyrol is fourth.

A similar stage awaits the professionals on Thursday. The route begins on a flat section between Imperia and Novi Ligure, before culminating in two category 3 climbs over the 175 kilometers. The 21-stage tour concludes in Rome on May 31.
