Groenewegen wins heart-stopping finale
Dylan Groenewegen has won the 6th stage of the Tour de France over 163,5 km from Mâcon to Dijon.

The Dutch champion from Team Jayco, who took his sixth stage victory in the Tour de France, prevailed in the extremely close mass sprint on Thursday ahead of Jasper Philipsen from Belgium (Alpecin) and Biniam Girmay from Eritrea (Intermarché).
Tadej Pogacar (UAE) had no trouble successfully defending the yellow jersey in the second flat stage in a row. Before Friday's time trial over a flat 25,3 km, the Slovenian still leads the overall classification by 45 seconds over the Belgian time trial world champion Remco Evenepoel (Soudal). It is the first of two battles against the clock in the Tour de France. The final stage in Nice ends with an individual time trial.
Merckx congratulates Cavendish
Veteran star Mark Cavendish played no role after his record victory the day before. The 39-year-old former world champion Cavendish celebrated his 35th stage victory on Wednesday, surpassing five-time Tour winner Eddie Merckx. "Congratulations, Mark Cavendish, on this historic achievement! Such a good guy, beating my record," congratulated the 79-year-old Merckx via Instagram.Felix Gall from East Tyrol is still twelfth in the interim rankings, 3:21 minutes behind the leader. On Thursday, Gall crossed the finish line in 84th place.
